wattpad doesn't feel the same anymore?

hear me out, it's not only that the dms are gone or that a particular fandom has become toxic to the point it's just exhausting. but also because, it's not just a writing platform anymore. ig it was last week when i saw a wattpad book which had conversations of that user with another user. why? APPARENTLY THEY WERE EXPOSING EO? is this the new normal and a trend to which i'm late or people are treating wattpad as the next X?

and it's literally so SO demotivating to see AI-generated stuff being on top 10 and having received reads in million within a week of posting with 200k+ votes and comments! idk what to call it if not hypocrisy.

on one hand, people are bashing AI writers and putting the respect-literature card (which honestly, the most valid thing) and on the other hand, only AI generated stuff is getting the hype and the reach. bhai from covers to writing, EVERYTHING?

it's like, there's no original stuff left on wattpad anymore! except, maybe, one or two writers like cara and philitric. and god knows how many more that we don't know of because our beloved wattpad chose to rec AI slops and/or problematic things.

secondly, now it feel like, wattpad is less about writing, reading and growing audience; and more about showing who can go to what level to prove themselves right in a fight or an argument or whtv. i may get downvotes but i think wattpad needs a replacement because it's becoming toxic asf.
