How to bring humor out of a man

I (23F American) have fairly recently started saying a guy (29M French). He is incredibly sweet, considerate, clean, smart, all the good things you wanna see at the beginning. But he doesn’t really make me laugh. I know the obvious answer is oh he’s probably not the one for you, but I know sometimes people need to warm up a little bit and be comfortable to show their humor. I’m also terrified that there just aren’t many great men out there, and so far he’s checking all the minimum “great” boxes. So—how do I bring the humor out of him.
