What style should I do this in?
I need advice on a painting for a school project. Our task is to paint something to a certain topic in the style of a known painter (e.g. Picasso, Monet, Egon Schiele). This is what I have so far (excuse the bad quality).
I was thinking I`d do it in the style of Klimt but after two days of staring at various paintings of his, I still haven`t figured out what patterns to use and how to paint them. It seems like there`s no order in the way he places his patterns (if there is, please explain it to me). I don`t want it to end up looking like I just placed random rectangles on the canvas. The most recognizable pattern would probably be the black, white and gold rectangle pattern in “The Kiss” but I fear that it won`t work with the black beatle.
My question is: should I do it in a different artist`s style? If yes, what artist? Any advice is greatly appreciated<3
