Anyone else studying for the NVIDIA GenAI & LLMs (NCA-GENL) cert?
With GenAI blowing up, the NVIDIA GenAI and LLMs exam (NCA-GENL) is getting popular. It is a great entry-level certification exam for learning to build AI apps, but figuring out how to study without spending a fortune can be tough.
A major topic of discussion is the cost of study materials. While official training courses can get expensive, many people who passed say you do not actually need to buy them. Instead, using the free official study guide along with some practice tests seems to be the best way to prepare.
The exam contains heavily on general LLM theory like transformers and RAG pipelines, but you still need a solid conceptual understanding of NVIDIA tools like NIM and Triton. For anyone starting with basics of AI knowledge, a proper study timeline is about 4-6 weeks to prepare the fundamentals with NVIDIA's specific structure.
