HP Laptop 15-dw3xxx thinks the lid is closed when it's open

Hi everyone,

I have an HP Laptop 15-dw3xxx and today it started behaving very strangely.

When I open the lid beyond about 45°- 30°, the laptop immediately goes to sleep (the power LED starts blinking slowly) and the kays doesen't do nothing. If I close the lid again, it wakes up and works normally.

Even before the OS boots, the power button only works when the lid is almost closed, which makes me think this is a hardware issue rather than Fedora or Linux.

I also noticed that after gently tapping the bottom cover, it started working again.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a faulty Hall sensor, the display cable, or something else?

Should i be worryed or it's just a bug or something similar?
