Whether the existence of NHI causes ontological shock or doesn't for religion, is based on how specific or vague an individual spiritual beliefs are?

NHI

In this post im focusing on the Extraterrestrial theory. Not the Interdimensional theory or the Ultraterrestrial theory. Because I believe Extraterrestrials is the type of NHI that makes a lot of people scared, when it comes to ontological shock. Since Interdimensional Beings or Ultraterrestrials still leave room for magic, hope, abd dogma. While Extraterrestrials are a bit nihilistic and materialistic.

I also make this post because of all of the fear mongering certain Christians do when it comes to UFOs having a ET origin. They say that it's demons. And that the Government will create this false narrative about Aliens creating us, to take away worship from God.

This is hilarious to me. Because it shows how much these guys are panicking, really shows how ''strong" their faith is. Especially when most UFOs sightings can just be mundane things like ballons or drones. So you are telling me birds are making you this scared.

But anyways, some religious people don't like the idea of what Extraterrestrials represent. Their spiritual books tell them that humans are the center of the universe (I.E. God special creatures). The existence of Extraterrestrials obviously goes against that. At least with Interdimensional Beings, humans can still be the special 3d beings, higher dimensional Beings (emphasis on the word higher) comes to visit sometimes. It's hard to be special when trillions of species exists in the same dimension as you.

Again like I said in the title. Ontological shock comes down to how specific or vague a person is with their religious beliefs. For example, religions like Christianity shoot themselves in the foot, whenever they make humans the center of the universe. While the Hindu religion can probably handle the existence of Extraterrestrials, just due to having various types of gods in the religion.

In conclusion. So the more specific you are, the more ontological shock you will get. And also being more vague, means getting less ontological shock too.
