Can a human being achieve immortality through an expanded state of consciousness?

Every human being is immortal because of ignorance. We believe we are the body that dies. The body has to die. Consciousness is like energy; it is birthless and deathless. If we realize we are the Divine Soul, the Spark Of Unique Life, we become immortal. And being in an expanded state of consciousness means being spiritually awakened, being enlightened. Then we become immortal.
