Travel to Tobermory

Hello everyone!

We are from Hamilton and would want to visit Tobermory in August - just a day trip. Any travel tips and tricks please especially for parking and outfit - shoes or slippers? Lol silly questions sorry. We wanna swim as well, where is the best and safest spot for swimming?
