Just my thoughts so far on S9 Magik

Before anyone hops on my Johnson, yes I realize it’s been a day. I’m not panicking, we’ll figure it out, it’s fine. This is just a comment I left somewhere else and it’s a good summary of how I feel so far.

I’ve been playing with all the different heroes I use and my initial thoughts so far are that she definitely feels slightly underwhelming in comparison to the other heroes team ups. Not to say she isn’t good, I’ve had some really good matches with her so far, she’s my QUEEN, so I would still play her even if she was pre-rework widow terrible. The chain is awesome, but it doesn’t feel new or give that fresh feel because we’ve already been playing with it for what four seasons now I believe? Correct me if I’m wrong.

The hood team up I’ve had some success with. I found it to be most useful when I’m playing directly on top of the point on convoy or in domination and I’ll use it next to a wall and literally teleport into the wall so I can’t go out of the circle. Try it. I will say the radius definitely feels small. I think they could make it a little bit bigger like maybe just 12 m and it would be fine and obviously it feels a little extra bad because the hood isn’t in the game right now so we can’t even get the enhanced version like every other hero so that’s a little poop lol.

But yeah, I still like her, I’m still gonna play the shit out of her, again that’s my girl. But if you compare her to like black cat, my other main, whose Spider-Man team up is absolutely fucking cracked and makes her arguably just as good as when she released, I can see how people might be a little disappointed. But the regenerative shield and the 25 HP buff is nice.

My only gripe with Magik after all this time is that she still has damage fall off on her fucking sword, that’s criminal. Netease can we please get rid of the fucking damage fall off on a goddamn sword 😂😂
😭 i’m gonna keep saying this until they fix it because it’s still absurd
