Marble notebooks

I remember using marble notebooks when I was a kid, now as an adult I see adults use them. A guy came to give me an estimate for a fence he was using that notebook, and the other is the president of a club I’m in uses one. Are these still popular? Do a lot of people use them? I’m tempted to start using them.
