Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted a nutrition tracker that didn’t make logging every meal feel like homework, so I built **NexCal**.

NexCal lets you take or choose a meal photo and quickly estimate calories, protein, carbs, fat, and a simple health score. It’s designed to make nutrition tracking fast, practical, and easy to stick with.

• Scan meal photos for estimated calories and macros
• Track protein, carbs, fat, sugar, and daily calorie balance
• Get health scores and smarter food-swap suggestions
• Build recipes with ingredients, portions, prep time, and nutrition estimates
• Set personalized calorie targets based on your body, activity, and goals
• Log water and track your daily cup target
• Record weight and view progress charts
• Use optional HealthKit active-energy data
• Edit scanned meals and adjust portions when needed
• No account, no ads, and no tracking or analytics SDKs

No complicated setup. Just photograph your meal, review the estimate, and keep moving.

To celebrate the latest NexCal update, I’m giving **FREE access to the $29.99 yearly NexCal Pro subscription** to the first 25 selected users 🎉

**How to Join — open for 24 hours**

1. Download and open NexCal
2. Upvote and comment on this post
3. I’ll reach out directly to the selected users 🚀

As an indie solo developer, I’m competing with huge nutrition apps while trying to keep NexCal simple and privacy-focused. Your profile, meals, recipes, water logs, weight entries, and meal thumbnails stay on your device and may sync through your private iCloud account when enabled. NexCal does not sell your data or include advertising and tracking SDKs.

If you enjoy the app, leaving a rating or review on the App Store would genuinely help a lot and means everything to an indie developer ❤️
