Why do some guys save and trade leaked photos of women, even when they have girlfriends or wives?
Genuine question because I honestly don't understand it.
Every now and then I'll come across stories about groups of guys saving, sharing or even trading leaked intimate photos of women. What blows my mind is that quite a number of them are in relationships, married, or even have daughters.
What's the appeal? Is it an ego thing? Entertainment? The thrill of having something "exclusive"? I really don't get it.
The part that disturbs me the most is how they'll sit there judging women's bodies or making disgusting comments about someone's most vulnerable moments, while completely ignoring how messed up it is to violate someone's privacy like that. They're literally getting entertainment from something that could ruin another person's life.
The irony is that some of these same people are also the loudest when it comes to complaining that women are "materialistic", "shallow", or "only care about money". Meanwhile they're participating in something that's genuinely harmful to real people.
I know it's obviously not all men, but I'm curious about the psychology behind the ones who do this. If anyone has insights especially from a male perspective. I'd genuinely like to understand what goes through their minds.
Why do people do this? And why does it seem so normalised in some circles?
