Anyone here did an early alternative exit from Advanced Computing after 3 years?
Hi everyone,
I’m an incoming international student who has accepted an offer for the Bachelor of Advanced Computing, but from the beginning I’ve only been planning to study for 3 years due to financial reasons.
I know there’s an early alternative exit option where you can graduate with a Bachelor of Computing after completing the required units, and I’m wondering if anyone here has actually done that.
If you have:
Was the process straightforward?
Did employers or internships view the Bachelor of Computing any differently?
Did you feel like you missed out on anything by not completing the full Advanced Computing degree?
I’m trying to understand whether planning for the 3-year exit from day one is a reasonable approach, or if it’s generally considered a bad idea.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through this or knows someone who has. Thanks!
