Your latest successes?
What were your last successes? Where were you proud of yourselves?
I have already left the house 2 times today and had no fear. But I was also only outside for 5 minutes each time. Otherwise, I haven’t left the house in years except to go to the doctor or to go on vacation. Outside, I felt no fear. It was more just unfamiliar but also nice. Only when I was back home did I notice that my body still reacted to it a bit. I woke up a bit crappy today, but somehow there was a shift in my view afterwards. I could classify something that makes me afraid a bit differently. I don’t know if it stays like this, but right now that takes quite a lot of fear away from me. Maybe therapy did bring something after 2 and a half years after all.
I don't know, though, how this small success is supposed to lead back into life. Because it is still not easy for me. My psychiatrist said recently, "Just look at how you are sitting here now and from 2 years ago. Those are huge progresses." Even though I am still often sad, down, and depressive, and unfortunately also fearful, I am doing better overall. It is just a long way and I think right now it is going quite well. I just wanted to share my joy that I managed such a small thing and am not fearful today.
