Opinion: I think it’s completely pointless to be in a LDR if you don’t have concrete plans to go to Ph within 2 months.

I see far too many men get into long-distance relationships with women in the Philippines with aimless ambitions and no concrete plans to go to the Philippines anytime soon. Women in the Philippines are very pragmatic. They kind of have to be. They live a rough life. In the US, a lot of of us live lives that are a little too relaxing and so a lot of us lose ambition. And we kind of live aimlessly, making money, we don’t have to worry about surviving so we have this chemical get to eventually“ kind of attitude about everything and we went from the Philippines have this comical I need to survive now” attitude about everything. So more often than not these “indefinite” LDRs end up being situations where the woman will manipulate the man to sending money indefinitely. I talked to one guy who had no reason not to go, had plenty of money to go, but he just kept creating these stupid little reasons why he couldn’t go. I swear some people are just terrified to travel and so they make up little reasons why they were one day go to the Philippines eventually.

I mean, not only is this making yourself look like a sucker, but it makes foreigners look bad and whenever I’m single and I’m looking, I have to explain, “look I’ve been to the Philippines many times, I know how the economy works and I know how women work here. Please don’t try me “ it’s kind of exhausting having to do that. I wish more people would exercise some common sense.

I try to look at every relationship in terms of “What am I getting out of it? “ everyone should be asking themselves, “how does it serve me to send money to a girl on the other side of the world while I’m over here? Is she going to send me nudes? Is she going to answer the phone whenever I want to? Is she going to film herself shoving a cucumber up her pussy?“ if she’s gonna do all that stuff then maybe send her a few bucks but in a lot of these situations these guys are whipped. These guys will send like 3K per week and they don’t get any nudes, they don’t really get anything. It’s even more pathetic when you ask how often they talk and it’s always the same time every day for about 10 or 20 minutes lol if you have a scheduled call same time every day with your LDR, and it’s 10 minutes or maybe even a half hour, that just means that’s 23 hours and 30 minutes of the day where she can spend finding another guy just like you to get another 3000 from…

This should be a hard rule. There’s no fucking reason to have a long distance relationship if you have no idea when you can go there.
