Ancient and profound, I find myself as water;
My back turned to fantasy, my face toward terror.
Quietly, effortlessly, I cradle every sorrow,
And in the heart of chaos, I shelter you from pain.
With every door left open, I still see you;
Submerged in oil, forever in your orbit.
Unbridled, I surround you with longing;
Lost among the clouds—what else was I expecting?
Show me your truth;
Untethered from reality.
I freeze—I know the taste of morbidity,
And pray that sanity still lingers.
Countless summers passed, yet fascination remained.
Your layers never faded; you stayed the "proper" one.
A mountain of unspoken kisses means nothing
Before an insecurity built from concrete.
I lose myself in fantasy,
Enchanted by the forbidden.
You allow yourself so little—it's almost unbearable.
You indulge, yet silence your own desire.
Help me understand; help me finally see.
Let me scream—I cannot hold it any longer.
The need is real, though perhaps it can wait.
I cannot comprehend... please, let me love you.
A few more steps until acceptance finds me.
A few more springs until you begin to change.
I always knew we were never meant to blend,
Yet, just this once, I let myself be carried away.
You, like oil, slip through my hands.
I lie beside myself and understand you.
You climb into your clouds until the end,
And I applaud as I watch you rise.
Hi, I'm from Brazil and wrote this in portuguese. I tried to translate as well as I could even after I realized how hard it could get. This came from a great love I had once, we could never be togheter because we were on church...and well, we are girls. Anyways, she married a few months ago and I felt like I should write one thing or two about us. I don't write much and this is my first time posting my stuff, so I'd love some feedbacks.
