Suddenly burning from mask

I've been using the Omnilux mask for about 6 months. In June, I started to notice some itching on my jawline. I wasn't sure if it was any of my facial products, so I removed everything, including the mask, and added back. After about 3 weeks, I used the mask as normal for 10 minutes. No issues. 2 days later, tried again and my lower face and neck burned. I'm not on any new or photosensitve meds. I use after washing my face/dry. I use an OTC retinol but have since I first got it, and didn't use after these last 2 times, just a good face cream.

Why now? Maybe adding with it being summer is the culprit? I'm ready to call it quits.
