Is it not possible for a couple to find a flat in Mumbai?

A friend of mine and her boyfriend are looking for a unfurnished/furnished 1/2BHK on rent with a budget of ₹15k–20k. They're preferably looking in Andheri, Ghatkopar, Borivali, Goregaon or nearby areas, though Naigaon(Sunteck World) would also work.

The problem is that almost every broker they've contacted has refused, saying only boys or only girls are allowed. They're genuinely just looking for a decent place to live.

If anyone knows a reliable broker or has any leads that could help them find a suitable flat, please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
