Missed Deadline Acceptance

Hello I am a mature student who applied to do arts in University Galway and got accepted. However, the day they sent the email I was attending the Years Mind of a family member who had passed away and spent the day with family and friends and genuinely just missed the email. I was then busy with work for the rest of the week and didnt get a chance to look at my emails until today where I found that it is 2 days past the deadline and I can no longer accept it. I emailed the admissions team and explained my situation, anyone have any ideas what the chances are of a positive response?
