Need help with obsidian connection and setup

So I recently started using Hermes with Ollama to automate and assist me in my projects and studies as well learning new things and skills that I am interested in or that will be useful down the road. Being able to run locally and customize my tools and agents is a huge security bonus too, don't want big AI to have access to my data.
Anyway, I was really hoping to have a "brain" of sorts for it with my preferences and an expandable knowledgebase that I can view as well in the graph view and watch it progress and grow. I am new to all this and am having trouble getting it to work. This stuff is so cool being able to run locally and I really want to have a solid understanding. Any help is greatly appreciated as well as any beginner recommendations to avoid any trouble later. 😊
