Whats the point of stopping self harm

Hi so ive been thinking abt this alot. Whats the point of me stopping when im just gonna end up killing myself later in life anyways. At the moment i do it somewhere where no one will see them anyways so its not hurting anyone and no one will ever see the scars anyways. It helps although i always feel great shame and guilt the day after it.
Im sorry i was kind if yapping just writing down what i was thinking
