Parking place not registrering our number plate

Hi! We have been to a couple of places in norway where the camera for the parking hasn’t detected our number plate. This means we aren’t able to pay for the parking because our number plate isn’t coming up in their system. What are we supposed to do in this situation? Will they somehow find out and charge us a fee because we didn’t pay for the parking ?
