Let’s create a great vibe. What do you want to see more of in this community?

Hi! This community is about alternative software—open-source, privacy-friendly, and/or just better fit for real needs.

• To shape the vibe of r/AltSoftwareHub, tell us what you want to see more of:
• Your favorite categories: notes, photo/video, coding, privacy, productivity, self-hosting, etc.
• Tools you trust (and why).
• What you’d like posts to include: guides, comparisons, “why I switched”, troubleshooting, setup walkthroughs.
• Any “rules of the road” to keep it welcoming and useful (e.g., no spam, be respectful, cite sources).

Drop your ideas below—let’s make this a genuinely helpful place. 🙌
