Looking for advice on which Macbook to buy!

I currently use my 2017 MacBook Air (bought for uni degree in 2018). It’s now super slow and won’t allow any more updates on the system, so looking to upgrade. I only use it primarily for emails, writing and light editing of photos and videos from my camera. I use Lightroom for my photo editing and mostly just basic CapCut stuff for my videos for snipping and transitions etc.

I’ve seen a lot about the new MacBook Neo’s? But not sure on reviews, longevity etc. My Air has lasted a good 8 years, so looking for advice on which MacBook would last a decent amount of time as well.
