Here's what the creator says:
Reframe is a passion project I've been working on. Posting it in case someone appreciates it.
Short version: Reframe is a real, modern browser built on Chromium with an ad blocker, so you can genuinely use it day to day. The catch is that the whole browser is dressed up like the old ones. And I mean the whole thing, not just the icons. Right now there are 14 skins / themes: Netscape, old Safari, K-melon, Opera... Internet Explorer and a bunch more.
A few bits of what you can do with Reframe
You can choose from 14 different themes like Netscape Gold, Safari 1, Internet Explorer... and many more.
There's a built-in Wayback Machine, so you can take any page you're on and see what it looked like in some past year/month without leaving the browser.
There's a modem emulator that dials up with the actual screeching sound, throttles your speed to match, and even blinks the little modem lights. Peak 1998.
The old splash screens are back too.
And to get it out of the way: it's completely free. No payments, no adware, no tracking, 100% open source.
