I've now received and worn Maison Alhambra Minérale (the Ganymede dupe) throughout the entire day.

Having tried the original Ganymede several times in Freiburg, since a friend of mine owns it, I can say this is an incredibly well-executed dupe. The resemblance is huge. Unless you have both fragrances side by side, it would be extremely difficult to tell them apart if you smelled one on someone walking down the street, at home, or in the office.

In that regard, I have nothing but good things to say. It also comes with a nice presentation and a heavy bottle in gold tones.

But here's the thing: after wearing Marina Deep & Dark... Marina is an absolute beast compared to both Ganymede and Minérale.

It's almost like wearing an Elixir or even a Parfum version. The concentration feels five times stronger.

Whether that's a good thing or not depends on personal taste.

For me, it definitely is, because those sharp mineral/metallic bursts that keep coming through are incredibly addictive and enjoyable.

That said, I can completely understand why someone might prefer the original for being more refined, or Minérale for being a bit smoother and more restrained.

As for me, I've already ordered another Marina flanker (my third one), since I found it at a great price in France. It's worth mentioning that Marina is only available in a 50 ml bottle.
