I got tired of finding out about the algae bloom after the fact — built a weekly satellite check for my lake

Our lake had a bad blue-green algae summer and we basically found out because someone's dog got sick. So I wired up the European Sentinel-2 satellite imagery to email me a weekly "bloom risk" score and a little heat-map of where on the lake it's worst, so we can post a warning before people are already in the water.

Enough neighbors have asked that I'm thinking about running it for other lakes too, and I want to be honest with myself about whether that's actually worth doing. To keep it going I'd need to charge something like $200 for the swim season per lake.

Is this something y'all would actually use or is it a "nice idea but we'd never pay for it"?

A genuinely no is more useful than a polite yes.

Anyways, happy homesteading !
