390 Rule, will you get notified?
I options trade regularly and know about the 390 rule. Yes, Ive had instances where I am able to exceed 390 submitted Ticket Orders for options in one day.
That being said, will Fidelity notify my account once it exceeds the 390 average threshold for the month and label me as a Professional Trader? Ive started to notice my trade orders don’t fill as often as I’d like on limit orders that used to fill about one month ago.
Will I receive an electronic notification message, an email, or at least some form of communication saying that it has reviewed my account and flagged me as a Professional Trader?
I heard from one colleague (online, random person) that they were NOT notified and just suddenly received bad and slow fill orders. Thats why I suspect that I may be in the same boat and already labeled as one, without being notified. I hope Fidelity reached out and actually lets me know where I am in status of that. Thanks!
