Big boob problems in professional settings
I have found my people! A hug to all of you - if our boobs let us.
I’ve gained a bunch of weight within the past few years (recovery from an eating disorder but overshot the goal a little due to stress) and thus, my boob size increased. Not drastically but my bras went from too roomy to too crammed (34E/F depending on the model and cut). But that’s not the topic of my rant.
I hate how my boobs automatically take the centre of the stage in every single scenario but especially at work. I work in law and I work with the public and it’s SO hard to be taken seriously. Blazers usually do the trick but sometimes I’m on an assignment abroad in hot climates (like Kenya or Pakistan). I usually stick to maxi dresses but I’ve got to be super selective with those too otherwise I’ll look like your next purity cult member. My go-to solution, especially in Islamic countries, are abayas that I cinch in the waist with a belt. Or I have one that already comes in with sewn on ties to tie in the back. I love them! I don’t want to hide but I also don’t want to not be taken seriously/getting sexualised by my clients. Coworkers and bosses are luckily no problem at all.
My boobs/being sexualised has always been a problem for me throughout my life it’s like something on me always gets fetishised/sexualised and I’m sick of it (I’m a tall Latina with an hourglass body shape and I know generally that figure is what some people would wish for but all has brought me nothing but pain in my life to the point where I rather not be perceived at all).
