Does anyone have any issues with dsi games not booting using a ds forwarder?

Since I got my 2ds homebrewed around when the 3ds eshop got closed I've had a lot of ds games on my home menu using a forwarder, they all worked perfectly fine for over a year but several months ago, whenever i click the dsi games on my home menu and it loads into ds mode it'll just give a white screen.(it's not like its frozen because I can still go back to the 3ds menu from it) I try to keep everything updated so that shouldn't realistically be an issue not to mention i haven't heard of anyone having issues like mine. Another weird thing about my 2ds was that it would never successfully download twilight launcher and only successfully downloaded about a few months before my issue of dsi games not booting, but the dsi games work fine in twilight launcher but i like using them through my home screen more than twilight launcher. None of my ds games have any issues and all work perfectly fine regardless of which way i use. Any ideas on how I could get this fixed or am I just forced to use twilight launcher for the rest of eternity.
