Any advice?

I don't know if this is the right subreddit, so please let me know if it isn't.

I'm writing a fanfiction about Matt Donovan and an OC who is a Hybrid. It's set in Virginia, USA.

I'm struggling with describing her first apartment with a colleague, because I'm from Germany and apartment layouts are often different here.

I'm looking for a realistic, older 2-bedroom apartment for two people on a tight budget. Nothing fancy—just a small apartment that fits the setting.

I'm also wondering what rent would realistically be in a small town like Covington (the inspiration for Mystic Falls).

If anyone has any advice, I would love to hear/read that. 💟
