Anyone got some motivation to sign up?
Hi all!
I've been wanting to do a triathlon for around a year, and I finally have the time and the money to put in work to actually train for a triathlon. I'm super nervous about the swim though, as I don't have a massive background in that (swam maybe 10 years ago to learn, never got any good at it though), and I dont have any background in cycling. If its any use, I'm 18 years old male and used to train and the gym for a year which I quit a few months ago to focus on studies, and I run two or three times a week, usually around 7k ish.
There's a triathlon in my city in 2 months that I'll do a sprint triathlon at, and its an entirely flat course, but the swim is all sea swimming. Anyways, I'm just about ready to sign up for it and start training but I'm pretty nervous, especially for the swimming, aswell as the fact you have to read a 63 page document about the triathlon and its specifics! The plan right now is to follow a training plan + take some swimming lessons to improve my technique.
Does anone have any tips or motivation for any part of the triathon? I'm assuming, since its a sprint distance, that it's mostly about being fairly fit to complete it.
Thanks in advance!
