With AI taking over the web, shouldn't we have a .human domain extension? Here is my pitch.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of the web. Right now, it feels like we are getting flooded with AI-generated content, automated bots, and synthetic websites. It's becoming harder to distinguish between human-made value and AI noise.
We already have domains like .guru, .digital, and .me. But with ICANN planning the Next Round for new gTLDs, I strongly believe a registry like GoDaddy or Identity Digital should pitch the .human extension.
Imagine a world where journalists, artists, developers, and personal brands use .human to instantly signal: "This space is curated and created by an actual human being." It could become the ultimate badge of authenticity in the digital age.
What do you think? Would you buy a .human domain for your personal brand or portfolio? Or is it a gimmick? Let’s discuss.
