OCIA
Hi all,
I am finally going through the OCIA application process, I am converting from Russian Orthodox. However, they are asking for the baptism certificate.
So this is an issue because I don’t have it and the church I had baptism in is in a different country and I don’t speak Russian that well. I was baptised when I was 11 or 12. I’m 38 now… To get the certificate I need to call the church. There’s no email.
And even if I did call them, how are they going to send it to me if there’s no email? 🤷🏼♀️ Sorry if this is a bit of a simple question 😅 maybe someone has had a similar experience.
What if I don’t get the certificate? Will they reject me? I feel like they are pushing us to get it. There’s another Ukrainian lady in a similar position although hers is worse (war).
