3 wythe structural meeting insulation code?

Brick

I was watching a video (I will link below) and they stated that this house is modern construction, 3 wythe and insulated to meet building codes. What did they do to insulate it to meet code? Foamboard insulation between the wythes? I feel like that would create too large of a cavity. Is it even possible (in the US) to build residential structural brick homes and meet insulation code without insulating the interior or exterior?
