👋 Welcome to r/silkfunsol

Hello everyone!

I'm u/silkfunsol, head mod of r/silkfunsol.

Welcome to the official community dedicated to Silk, the OG name of Solana, that was later renamed to Solana during its early development.

This community exists to preserve that history through archived evidence, documentation, GitHub records, screenshots, and community research.

Whether you're here because you love Solana, blockchain history, internet archaeology, or simply enjoy discovering forgotten stories, you're in the right place.

What is Silk?

Silk was the original blockchain name used before the project became Solana.

Our goal isn't to rewrite history.

Our goal is to preserve it.

Here, you'll find historical references, archived materials, development records, and discussions surrounding Silk and its transition into Solana.
