Syep and summer school

So I have summer school which starts at 8:02 and ends at 12:57 and I've emailed my provider about this asking him to arrange my hours after my school, I've got told "you will have to choose which you are doing in this case if they overlap" when Ive heard people say their provider or manager simply just arranged their hours if they had summer school. Why is it different for me? Have I emailed the wrong person? Can they really not arrange hours around for summer school? Somebody pls let me know because I need to make money this summer🫩
