Why treat the nodes like fixed points?

The Sun’s sitting deep in Cancer today, right while the Moon in Taurus grounds the mood. It’s quiet, steady, and honestly a bit stubborn. Meanwhile, Mars in Gemini is restless, pinging off those fixed ideas I’ve been holding onto. I’ve been using SkyToday to watch how these transits overlap, and it's clear the pace is picking up fast.

But here’s what’s really bugging me. I see so much focus on the nodes, Rahu and Ketu, like they’re these concrete anchors in a chart. In Western astrology, we treat them as mathematical points, but I’m curious—why do so many people act like they have a physical existence when they’re just intersections of orbits? Don't you think we give these invisible shadows way too much credit for our own psychological hang-ups? If they aren't actual bodies, are we just projecting our fear of the unknown onto a couple of empty spots in the sky? Let me know if you think they’re just mirrors for our blind spots or if there's something else happening I'm missing.
