Whispered Wink

Poem 🎭

She arrives like soft rain

a simple whisper against thirsty earth,

gentle for soothing old wounds,

quiet enough to dampen but not disturb the ground.

Then she laughs.

Suddenly she's lightning

wearing red lipstick,

boots that echo down the hallway,

and a grin that dares the world

to keep up.

Soft rain teaches flowers to open.

Sassy teaches spines to metal.

One kisses your cheek.

The other winks,

steals your fries,

and tells you your beutiful and

you look better smiling anyway.

One is tea by the window,

books with folded pages,

blankets on sleepy afternoons.

The other is loud music,

bare feet in the kitchen,

a little too much vanilla & patchuli

and dancing because the dishes can wait (and should be done naked).

Neither apologizes.

They are exactly what they are.

Watch her be the storm...

Quiet the thunder.

Watch her be velvet cake

Then spicy mangonada.

Let her be the quiet drizzle

that heals the earth,

and the wild grin

that reminds all...

how to play ♡

Doubt & Bluebird you both inprired bits of this this morning. Thank you
