Reasonable compensation range for a senior advisor/leadership role?
Looking for a compensation gut check from others in wealth management.
I work for a California-based independent wealth management practice with roughly $1B in AUM.
\* Personally service approximately $125M in client relationships, generating close to $1M in annual revenue
\* I did not originally bring in the majority of these clients; my primary responsibility is servicing and managing the relationships
\* I have consistently brought in new clients/assets over the past several years
\* CFP® with 5+ years of experience
\* Manage a multi-person financial planning team
\* Heavily involved in major leadership and strategic decisions
Current compensation is a $220K base with no real defined bonus or incentive structure.
For those in similar roles, what would you consider a reasonable total compensation range? Would you expect higher base comp, performance incentives, profit sharing, or an equity/partner track at this level?
Just trying to get a realistic market gut check.
