Do you think Alice in Chains will ever tour again?
Do you think Alice in Chains will ever tour again?
2027 marks the band's 40th anniversary and I'm really expecting Alice in Chains to do something in honor of it. Sean Kinney suffered a medical issue in 2025, but, hopefully he has his health problems aside him. In past recent years, Jerry Cantrell has been focused more on his own solo career - he released two albums and did two tours. I'm kind of hoping the band plays at some more historic famous venues if they ever tour again, like do more arena-headlining shows - play Madison Square Garden in New York (the band played their twice before but once as a headliner - in 2010 with Deftones and Mastodon), Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (it would be their live debut at the venue) and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado (return there for the first time in 17 years). And, maybe play some more deep cuts and songs the band has very rarely or never played live before during the Layne Staley era.
That would be great if they did a tour like this.
