The Video Doorbell That Gave Me Peace of Mind

I wasn't sure a video doorbell was worth the money at first. Thought it was just another smart home gadget people buy because it looks cool. After using one for a few months though, I kinda changed my mind.

The biggest thing is knowing who's at the door before I open it. I also get notifications when packages show up, so I'm not constantly wondering if they got delivered or not. I've even caught delivery drivers dropping stuff off while I was out, which is pretty handy.

Funny enough, most of the alerts are just neighbors walking their dogs or squirrels running across the porch. Had to adjust the motion settings because my phone was buzzing way too much at first.

It's definitely not something everyone needs, but it gives me a little extra peace of mind, especially when I'm away from home for a day or two. One of those purchases that ended up being more useful than I expected.
