I think I somehow turned my bass guitar into a radio and I don't know what to do
My bass guitar has a broken audio jack that sometimes makes that loud static-y noise if it's plugged in and angled the wrong way. Recently, when it does that, I noticed I can very faintly hear what I thought sounded like people talking. Earlier today it happened again but I got it at just a good enough angle to where I can now clearly here it and recorded it on my audio interface -- Here is the audio clip.
It sounds like it's picking up a broadcast of a football game but how?? I didn't even know that was a thing that can happen without XLR cables. I currently don't have enough money to take it to a luthier and get it fixed so I was hoping maybe somebody here knows what's wrong with it and if it's possible to fix it myself. I have little knowledge on repairing instruments but I am interested in learning if it's nothing super complicated or risky for me to try.
