Boujee B = Trop Cherry x Wedding Cake. Hybrid, grown by Borneo Bud, purchased at Rootdown in Oxford (secret menu item, first test run).

Brad already put up a great review, but this one deserves lots of praise! This is a cool cross, and you definitely get traits of each parent you would expect across all aspects. Loving these giant buds from Borneo lately, as far as I can tell every 1/8 of this one is just 1 big bud.

Looks: 1 giant sized, extremely colorful bud that’s medium-heavy in density. Takes a good bit of pressure to squish, and the cure is great, especially for a pop-top container. It’s got those deep Lavender to “Barney the dinosaur” purples typical of trop cherry, bright greens, contrasting orange hairs, and it’s covered in sugary trichs that range from white to pink/purple amber. No complaints for this category at all.

Smell: Fruity/Sweet/Gassy/Peppery/Creamy/Doughy/Cake/Zesty/Slight-Citrus. I agree with Brad that it changes up a bit a few hours after switching it to a mason jar. When I first cracked it the fruitier notes from the Trop cherry were more noticeable, but after breathing for a bit the wedding cake side is coming out hard. Not quite as much lemony citrus as a lot of WC I’ve had, but the sweet cakey doughy notes and the gas are a lot more present than most. Has some herbal and spice/pepper notes that blend quite nicely with the sweet fruity gas. While
it smells good as whole bud, the ground-up smell is on another level, that gas really comes out then!

Taste: Same flavors from the smell, the cake notes are most dominant, but it gets a really pleasant deep-earthiness to it that almost makes it taste like a good “Ice cream cake” strain. It’s a very smooth hit, while the pepper notes do impart some flavor, they don’t make the hit feel harsh/sting at all!

Effects: I find myself agreeing with Brad again, it feels like a very balanced hybrid! To me it seems like “mind up, body down”. Mentally it’s: Cheerful/Uplifting/At-ease/Can-do/Happy/Thought-provoking/Dreamy/Euphoric. The body side is a pleasant all-over relaxation, but not so heavy that it stops me from doing anything physical.
I was a bit down/agitated this morning because I didn’t really sleep last night due to a shoulder issue, but after hitting this today my mood has completely flipped to happy, content, and up for anything! Not a doctor, but seems like a good strain for pain/recovery since it dulls/numbs my physical pain while lifting my spirits at the same time. Really glad I started my Saturday with this one!

Overall: Very pleased with this one from Borneo! Beautiful giant buds, refreshing flavor profile, and awesome hybrid effects that have me feeling fantastic after a bad night. I would definitely go back for more of this one. Thanks again to Borneo, yall keep it up!
