My deckbuilder has no spell cards, you forge each spell from an Element + a Form. Honestly can't tell if that's the fun or the friction.

Description:

You never draw a "Fireball" card in this one. You draw a Fire card and a Bolt card and slam them together in a little forge to make Fire Bolt. Swap the Form and it's a completely different spell — Fire + Nova torches the whole room, Fire + Aura lights everyone up and buffs the burn. There are 25 base combos, and then you start drafting Modifiers (Echo casts the spell twice, Siphon heals you for the damage you deal…) and stacking them on top until something in your build just breaks open. A run is 7 escalating fights, drafting a card/relic/heal between each, ending in a boss called the Warden — about 10–15 minutes start to finish.

That "breaks open" moment is the whole reason I built it. My actual problem: I've stared at this thing so long I genuinely can't tell anymore whether the combining is the fun part, or just an annoying step you do before the fighting. That's what I need fresh eyes on. So — does forging spells feel good, or does it feel like homework? And if you hit a run where your build went stupid-broken, I really want to know what combo got you there. There's a quick "would you play again?" prompt at the end, but I'd rather just hear it from you in the comments — I'll reply to everyone.
