APP3 Underwhelming?

So after much pondering between getting a pair of Shokz or the APP3, I finally went and get myself the latter. I thought they would be great but straight out from the box I realized two things:

1. The earbuds are way too small for my ears, even the larger sized ones. And they are hard to fit nicely and I need to twinkle around with them, but even then I don’t get a perfect fit.

2. The ANC is surprisingly underwhelming. I was trying it out while sitting in my room alone, next to a standing fan. I could still hear the fan buzzing quite clearly, albeit there was definitely some difference between Transparency and Noise Cancellation mode. Not sure if this is an issue with my pair or the earbuds not being 100% fitted.

If and when I activated it, it comes with a one year warranty and the complementary free Apple Music, it shouldn’t be bogus right?
