Early Meta Ads results for a new toy niche store
Hey everyone,
I recently launched a new Shopify store in the toy niche and I’m currently testing Meta Ads. I’m not trying to promote the brand here, so I’ll keep product names out of it.
The store launched on July 9th, so this is still very early data. I’m running 4 separate sales campaigns, each with a €15/day budget. All campaigns optimize for purchases.
Current setup:
- Campaign 1: UGC video ad (1 video)
- Campaign 2: Product A image ads (9 creatives)
- Campaign 3: Product B image ads(8 creatives)
- Campaign 4: Product C image ads(8 creatives)
Total available budget: €60/day
Results so far
Data from July 9th until July 11th around 14:50:
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Spend | €131.91 |
| Impressions | 6,638 |
| Link clicks | 129 |
| Landing page views | 88 |
| Add to carts | 10 |
| Purchases | 2 |
| Revenue attributed by Meta | €79.90 |
| Average CPA | €65.96 |
| ROAS | 0.61 |
The interesting part is that only one campaign has generated both purchases so far.
That campaign spent around €33 and generated 2 purchases, so the CPA on that campaign is around €16.50. My profit per sale on that product is around €14 before ad spend, so it is close but not quite profitable yet.
The other campaigns are getting clicks and some add-to-carts, but no purchases yet.
Campaign-level signals
| Campaign | Spend | Link clicks | LPV | ATC | Purchases |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UGC video | €28.78 | 21 | 6 | 4 | 0 |
| Product A | €35.68 | 58 | 48 | 1 | 0 |
| Product B | €34.38 | 39 | 27 | 2 | 0 |
| Product C | €33.07 | 11 | 7 | 3 | 2 |
A few things I’m thinking about:
- Since budget is split across 4 campaigns, should I consolidate into fewer campaigns?
- Should I pause the UGC campaign if it still has no purchases after another day?
- Product A gets a lot of clicks and landing page views, but almost no add-to-carts. Could this be a pricing issue?
- Product C has the weakest click volume but is the only one getting purchases. Should I shift budget toward that campaign?
- Since this is a new store, would you let it run a few more days before making changes?
I also added a discount popup today to collect emails and offer a first-order discount. I’m testing a lower price on one product because I noticed better conversion at a lower price on another marketplace.
Would love to hear how you would approach this.
Would you keep testing, consolidate campaigns, or cut the non-performing ones already?
Thanks!
