Bartholin cyst treatment (ideally UK/NHS)

30, had 1 very long term bartholin cyst approx 3-4cm for about 13 years! In that time it’s never flared up, gotten bigger or smaller etc. I was self conscious of it but gp said as it wasn’t infected to leave it be.
Fast forward 6 weeks ago it randomly SWOLE UP, it was the size of an egg at least and very painful! Turns out it had abscessed and long story short I had the word catheter procedure done. It lasted 24 hours before falling out and I ended up very very ill too.
Had the same procedure done exactly a week later, which went much better than the first and I felt positive about it. However it came out within 12 hours! They said they wouldn’t attempt it again and next time would be the marsupialisation surgery.
Now, I do want the procedure done but I’ve never been under GA before and I am terrified. Not only that, I’m a single mom with veryyyyy little support so I need to factor that in.
Anyway it came back about 3 weeks later but only to the original size with no pain, have an appointment booked next week to discuss options but today is it swollen again and tender!!
I don’t know what to do, how can I stop it getting worse over the weekend and how can I get them to do the marsupialisation under local anaesthetic?
I was told it is a GA but I’ve seen it varies with different trusts but it clearly can be done under local, just maybe not ideal. Should I try the word catheter one more time?
Also factoring in an extreme lack of childcare after next due to the summer holidays, I don’t want it to come back in those weeks what should I do???
