You Think You're Here for Kink. You're Here Because You're Tired.
You’ve been telling yourself a story. That this is just a phase. A dark little corner of the internet you peek into when you’re bored or stressed. That you could walk away anytime.
But you’ve been here long enough to know that’s a lie.
You’re not here for the dopamine hit anymore... you burned out those receptors months ago. You’re here because somewhere along the way, the thrill of pretending to be in control got exhausting. And the one thing no one ever tells you about being "strong and independent" is how lonely it gets at the top.
So you started looking for something else. Something that didn't ask you to perform. Something that didn't require you to have all the answers.
That's what this place actually offers, isn't it? Not degradation... >!relief!<. The relief of putting down the weight of having to decide everything, fix everything, be everything. The relief of someone else taking the wheel, not because you're weak, but because you're smart enough to know you've been driving yourself into the ground.
You want to know what's really scary? Not the content. Not the politics. Not even the shame spiral you punish yourself with afterwards.
What's really scary is how peaceful it feels. How quiet your mind gets when you stop fighting. When you stop second guessing every decision and just...>! let go!<.
That's not brainwashing. That's a nervous system finally getting permission to rest.
And that's why you keep coming back. Not because you're broken. Not because you're "too far gone." But because this is the only place where you've let yourself admit that maybe... just maybe... >!you don't actually want to be in charge of everything!<.
The question isn't whether you'll post / lurk here again. We both know you will. The question is
!What are you going to stop pretending about today?!<
