Are We Promoting the Right Side of India to International Travellers?
Whenever someone plans a trip to India, the recommendations are usually the same—Jaipur, Goa, Kerala, Agra, or Udaipur.
They're incredible destinations, but India has so much more to offer.
There are countless heritage towns, wildlife reserves, mountain villages, and cultural experiences that rarely make it into mainstream travel itineraries. Yet, these are often the places that leave the strongest memories.
I'm curious to know what other travellers think.
Should Indian tourism focus more on promoting hidden destinations instead of only the famous ones?
Have you ever visited a place in India that exceeded your expectations despite not being well known?
If you could recommend one underrated destination to an international traveller, what would it be and why?
I'd love to hear your experiences and discover a few hidden gems through this discussion
